SHIPPING CHARGES

Shipping charges are based on our provider's shipping rates and the cost of carefully packing your order.

 

ORDER PROCESSING

We pride ourselves on how quickly we process orders. Any order received by 1:00pm EST Monday to Friday will be processed and shipped the same day for most products (contact us for details). All other orders will be processed the following business day. Orders containing Thermally Challenged products placed after 1:00pm EST on Wednesday may be held to ship the following Monday, if your order cannot be guaranteed to arrive by Friday with your chosen delivery method. This protects the quality of your products!

 

AVAILABLE SHIPPING METHODS

The shipping industry counts shipping by business days and does not include Saturday or Sunday. Weekend delivery is available in some areas at an additional charge - please call Lola & Miguel directly if you would like to add this service to your order. 

Please note: To ensure that you receive your order without incident, we are unable to leave packages at the door without a signature.  Please provide a Shipping Address where it is possible for someone to receive the package such as a kind neighbour or a work address.

Pickup At Store - Please feel free to visit us in store to browse and pickup your order while adhering to Covid-19 health and safety practices. Or call us once you've arrived in the parking lot and we will deliver your order to you curbside.

Canada Post Expedited Parcel - Fast, cost-effective ground shipping within Canada. Delivers between 1-5 business days depending on your location within Canada. All items can be tracked and have on-time guarantees. 

Canada Post Priority - Fastest service for time-sensitive documents and parcels. Delivers to every residential and business address in Canada, and guarantee next-business day delivery between major urban centres. For non major urban centres, expect 2-5 business days.

FedEx Ground - Typically delivers your package within 4-5 business days depending on your location within Canada, along with your proximity to a FedEx depot. FedEx will estimate the number of business days to ship the order but they are unable to guarantee the day. 

FedEx 2 Day - Delivers your package within 2 business days by 5pm. For example, an order shipped on Monday would be delivered by 5:00pm on Wednesday. 

FedEx Priority Overnight - Delivers your package next business day by 12:00pm noon in most areas. For example, an order shipped on Monday will be delivered by 12:00pm on Tuesday. 

 

NEED YOUR ORDER FAST?

Please feel free to upgrade your shipping service during checkout. Choose FedEx Priority Overnight service and your order will arrive the next business day by 12 noon (in most areas).

 

WHAT IS 'THERMALLY CHALLENEGED'?

These products require special care packaging (thermal foil wrap, ice packs, etc) in order to ensure freshness by maintaining optimal thermal temperatures. All of these products will require expedited shipping at the time of checkout. In order to maintain the integrity of your products, orders with Thermally Challenged items placed on a Thursday (for FedEx 2 Day) or a Friday (for FedEx Priority Overnight) will ship the following Monday in order to avoid sitting in an unrefrigerated warehouse over the weekend.

 

HOLIDAYS & PEAK SEASON

We recommend that you use these rules of thumb when allowing extra time during the Holiday Season:

Fedex Priority Overnight & 2 Day - At least ONE extra BUSINESS day to ensure your order arrives before any holiday closure. 

Fedex Ground - At least THREE extra BUSINESS days to ensure your order arrives before any holiday closure. When in doubt - ship using an Express service. 

Canada Post Priority & Expedited - At least FIVE extra BUSINESS days to ensure your order arrives before any holiday closure. When in doubt - ship using a Fedex Express service. 

*Please note that during the holiday season there may be unforeseen delays shipping with Canada Post and FedEx due to weather and demand. These situations are rare and not within control of Lola & Miguel; therefore, we cannot be held accountable for delays in shipping during this time of year*

 

HOLIDAYS

Lola & Miguel Online and the Lola & Miguel Toronto store are closed on all Canadian statutory holidays and the August Civic Holiday (please see chart below). Any orders placed on these days will be promptly processed the next business day. We will always inform you of any delays in order processing and shipment.
