Jamón Ibérico is considered one of the most delicious cured hams in the world. We are pleased to offer this product for purchase online to enjoy in the comfort of your own home. Native only to the hills of Salamanca, this unique ruby red ham is both rich in flavour and in taste. The native cerdo Ibérico black pigs are raised on a diet of high-quality grain (different than the acorns fed to the Bellota pigs). The legs are cured for 24 months to develop complex flavours and a specific texture, ensuring that it will fall apart in the mouth when tasted. Jamónes Ibericos Blazquez place their hams in curing rooms especially designed to enhance the quality of the legs. Exposure to the changing elements and seasons of the mountainous region of Spain, gives unique characteristics to the meat. The marbling of fat creates the delectable ribbons of flavour in this meat. Butchering, salting and handling of the hams is done with the utmost care.  Jamón Ibérico is best served thinly sliced and at room temperature. Bold red wine or Spanish sherry is highly recommended as an accompaniment. Please note that the hoofs are removed to comply with CFIA standards.
