The Morcon Salami is made with the same Jamón Iberico used in our other delicious products. The shape is what sets it aside as it is a little bigger than a baseball, allowing you to have larger and rounder slices of this mouth-watering product. Seasoned with pimenton (a smoked Spanish paprika), garlic and oregano. Iberico pork is an indigenous animal of Spain known for its black colour and hoof. Jamones Fermin use traditional methods and the utmost care when raising this breed. The pigs are free to live outdoors in the woods of the dehesa, a region in western Spain near Salamanca. The black hoofed pigs eat wild plants, herbs and roots from the land as well as high-quality grains. The Morcon is hung to dry and cure in screened rooms which allow the fresh mountain air to pass through. The change in temperature and season help to develop the desired texture and flavour of the product. Serve the Morcon Salami on a meat board with olives, cheese and other Spanish cured products for a tapas night or for special guests.
